A Homely, Creative Enterprise – Meet Rosey and Anuja

Sankalp is all about empowering women and encouraging entrepreneurship. Our vendors are special to us and hence we share their success stories with you. Read about the beautiful enterprise of two enthusiastic ladies, who left no stones unturned, to follow their passion.

A desire to bring organic and unadulterated flavours into homes and hearths is what kickstarted Homespun Flavours & Décor. Anuja and Rosey, two creative and like-minded sisters, wished to bring natural and unadulterated honey and spices to Malayali households. They procured honey from their estate and started packaging homegrown spices. Taking it a notch higher, they began importing blue pottery from Macau and reselling it at affordable prices. The two homemakers also capitalised on their love for artificial plants and added potted succulents to their assortment of handpicked products.

Their curated collection is loved by homemakers across Kerala and the widespread interest and demand keeps the sisters motivated to grow and nurture their entrepreneurship. They began Homespun by the end of 2016. They believe that by God’s grace they haven’t had any major setbacks and were able to breeze through any obstacle that befell them on their way.

“We follow a quote that says whenever you want to quit, just remember why you started and where you have reached. Then there’s no going back!”, says Rosey.

This pair of go-getters is coming to Thrissur to welcome the Pooram season with their assemblage of beautiful pottery, organic produce, and home décor. Come find them at Stall #D5 at the Sankalp Crafts n Weaves on the 9th and 10th of May at the Casino Hotel, Thrissur.
